My interest in and exposure to veterinary
medicine occurred early in life as my father was a large
animal veterinarian. I graduated from the College of
Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University, in 1982 and
began working at Nassau Veterinary Clinic. In 1985,
I accepted a partnership position. My current professional
interests include dentistry and internal medicine. Currently,
I am pursuing certification in advanced veterinary dentistry.
The field of advanced veterinary dentistry includes
root canal therapy or crowns to save important teeth,
periodontic surgery to prevent infection and tooth loss
and orthodontics to eliminate abnormally positioned
teeth from causing self trauma.
I am a member of the American Veterinary
Dental Society, American Veterinary Medical Association,
New York State and Capital District Veterinary Societies,
and the American Animal Hospital Association. My professional
goal is to provide progressive, high quality dental
and medical care for your pet in a caring environment.
My wife, Margaret, and I have
a daughter Erica and a son Glenn. We have multiple pets
including dogs, cats and fish. I am interested in outdoor
activities such as hiking, biking, swimming, camping
and nature study. I am particularly interested in botany
and birding. I am a member of the East Greenbush School
District Budget Review and Advisory Committee.
