"Cayenne" July 17, 1994 - February 24, 2001

Cayenne, you came to me at 7 weeks old and were loyal and loving from the first time I saw you. Through your life you had many aches and pains but never complained, even while recovering from 2 orthopedic surgeries. You lived for your walks in the woods and that gives me solace knowing you were doing what you loved to the last second. You loved to run just for the sake of running. I often told people that you needed your walks as much as food or water. You always stayed with me even when your brother would take off after squirrels and chipmunks. Many a wooded trail did we follow. You were so smart too, learning the "Yuppy Puppy" trick as all your dog friends watched wondering how you got the food out of it. Even though your life was not long, we have so many memories and pictures of you. You will live in our hearts forever.
